Grocery shopping can be a big expense, especially if you are trying to maintain healthy eating habits. “Extreme couponers” seem to have come up with the best way to save money by clipping coupons day in and out, but who really has that time? We came up with a list of ways for you save money without spending hours on clipping coupons to save 50 cents on three packs of hot dogs. Doing all the following can help reduce your grocery bill, while maintaining the quality of the products that you buy.
1. Shop on a full stomach.

While this is a well-known way to save money, people often underestimate the power of their hungry stomachs. Shop after lunch or eat a small snack before you go shopping. Doing this will help prevent impulse shopping and make the candy bars by the register a little less tempting.
2. Carry cash.

While credit and debit cards can be convenient, with cash you are able to visualize how much money you have budgeted while you are out shopping. Even though stores are charged when their customers use their credit or debit cards, they know that consumers are more likely to spend more when using it. Using cash will allow you to think twice before putting in that container of Rocky Road ice cream in the cart.
